         First Artist Corporation plc ("First Artist" or the "Company")


                            Director's Shareholding


First Artist has been informed that Jon Smith, managing director of First
Artist, purchased 25,000 ordinary shares of 0.25p each ("Ordinary Shares") in
the Company yesterday at a price of 40p per share. In addition, he is also
interested in 2,200 Ordinary Shares that were purchased on behalf of his
children this morning at a price of 42p per share. Accordingly, Jon Smith now
holds 11,217,200 Ordinary Shares, representing 20.91 per cent. of the issued
share capital of the Company.
