                              Exercise of options                              

The Company announces that it has today issued 2,600,000 new Ordinary Shares of
�0.001 to certain holders of employee share options ("Optionholders") who have
exercised those options. The relevant options were previously unvested and
became exercisable following a determination to that effect made by the
remuneration committee of the board of directors of the Company in connection
with the sale, announced earlier today, by the Company of its subsidiaries,
which employ the Optionholders.

Application has been made for the new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading
on AIM, and admission is expected to take place on 29th October 2004, at which
point the total issued share capital of the Company will be 361,365,823
Ordinary Shares.
