The Clark Group Joins U.S. EPA SmartWay Transport Partnership

NEW YORK, March 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Clark Holdings Inc.
(NYSE Alternext US, LLC: GLA; GLA.U; GLA.WS), a non-asset-based
provider of mission-critical supply chain solutions, today
announced that its operating company, The Clark Group, Inc. ("Clark
Group"), has joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's
(EPA) SmartWay Transport Partnership. Clark Group has been
recognized by the U.S. EPA for its commitment to improving the
environmental performance of its freight operations. Clark Group
qualified as a SmartWay Transport partner following an examination
of one year of shipments which determined that the Company had
moved a large enough percentage of those shipments via SmartWay
partnered carriers. Moving forward, Clark Group has committed to
increasing the percentage of freight shipped through SmartWay
carriers by at least 10% per year and agreed to measure fleet
environmental performance using the EPA's Freight Logistics
Environmental and Energy Tracking (FLEET) Performance Model. In
addition, Clark Group will develop a three-year Action Plan to
improve its environmental metrics and submit an annual report to
the EPA updating the implementation and progress of its plan.

2004 and represents a dedicated partnership among government,

environment by promoting cleaner and more efficient transport
options resulting in reduced fuel consumption and improved air
quality for future generations. Specifically, SmartWay aims to cut
CO2 emissions by 33 to 66 million metric tons per year and oxides
of nitrogen (NOx) emissions up to 200,000 tons per year. This will
save up to 150 million barrels of oil per year, the equivalent of
