SG Securities (London) Ltd ("SGSL") hereby gives notification of its holdings of
3.22% in the relevant share capital of German Smaller Companies Investment
Trust PLC.  (This is a share holding of 1,275,000 of issued share capital of
39,629,000).  This interest is wholly that of SGSL, as principal (as per section
208(5)).
