Letter From Department of Health and Social Services and Public Safety ( for
Northern Ireland)

Goldshield Group plc announces that its wholly owned subsidiary Forley Generics
Limited. has received a letter from solicitors acting for the Department of
Health and Social Services and Public Safety (for Northern Ireland) and others
alleging breaches of statutory duty arising from the sale of the anticoagulant
drug Warfarin between 1997 and 2000.

The allegations are similar to those made by the English Health Authorities in
December 2002 and by the Scottish Ministers and certain Scottish Health Boards
in January 2005. Damages in the sum of #965,062 are alleged.

Goldshield vigorously denies these allegations and is responding accordingly.
