Goldshield Group plc

Goldshield Group plc announces that it and its subsidiaries Goldshield
Pharmaceuticals Limited and Forley Generics Limited (together "Goldshield") have
received a letter from solicitors acting for the Scottish Ministers and certain
Scottish Health Boards alleging breaches of statutory duty arising from the sale
of the anticoagulant drug Warfarin between 1997 and 2000.

The allegations are of anti-competitive behaviour between Goldshield and 4 third
party companies, similar to those made by the Secretary of State and certain
English Health Authorities in December 2002 (as announced at that time). Damages
in the sum of #3,289,767 are alleged.

Goldshield vigorously denies these allegations and is responding accordingly."
