NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PERSONS

The Company has been notified today that on 20 July 2006 Dr Geoffrey Guy, a
Director of the Company, gifted for nil consideration 179,045 ordinary shares of
0.1p each in the Company to family members. The gift amounts to 0.15% of the
issued ordinary share capital.


Following this notification Dr Guy retains a beneficial interest in 22,019,663
ordinary shares of 0.1p each, amounting to 18.3% of the shares in issue.
