                      Horizon appoints Gary Coburn as CEO

Horizon Technology Group plc, a leading technical integrator and distributor of
information technology products in the UK and Ireland, today announced that Mr
Gary Coburn, Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed as Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) with immediate effect.



Samir Naji, who had agreed to serve as Chairman and CEO on an interim basis
following the retirement of the previous CEO, will revert to the role of
Executive Chairman.



In welcoming this appointment, Samir Naji, commented "Gary's execution skills
and his customer focused approach have made a significant contribution to
Horizon's earnings growth over the last three years. The board looks forward to
a continuation of this excellent performance under his stewardship."

About Gary Coburn



Gary Coburn, aged 42, has 22 years experience in the IT industry. He joined
Horizon in 1992 as sales manager of the systems integration business. In 1993,
he became country manager of that division and he was appointed Chief Operating
Officer in early 2002 and co-opted to the board in September 2002. Prior to
joining Horizon, Mr Coburn held senior sales and management positions in IBM,
Hewlett Packard and Digital Equipment. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering
(Electronic) Degree from University College Galway.
