Speaking   at   today's  Annual  General   Meeting   Ralph
Hinchliffe, Executive Chairman said:
 
"Trading so far this year has been satisfactory in the UK,
whilst trading in the USA has continued to be robust.   We
expect  the  UK market to improve as the year  progresses,
and  the  USA  market to remain strong.  Overall,  we  are
confident that 1999 will be a year of further progress."
 
At  the conclusion of the AGM Ralph Hinchliffe retires  as
Executive  Chairman,  Hamish Bryce  becomes  Non-Executive
Chairman and Michael Broadhead becomes Chief Executive.
