Leading sourcing data and advisory firm to identify opportunities to improve delivery of IT services, reduce costs to taxpayers HOUSTON, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- TPI, the largest sourcing data and advisory firm in the world and a unit of Information Services Group, Inc. (ISG) (NASDAQ:IIINASDAQ:IIIUNASDAQ:IIIW), an industry-leading information-based services company, today announced that it has been engaged to advise the State of Washington on improving delivery of information technology (IT) services while reducing the costs to taxpayers. TPI will assess the State's current IT infrastructure, identify opportunities to apply best practices from the public, private and non-profit sectors and make recommendations for simplifying and improving processes and implementing alternative financing approaches such as consolidated or shared services. "We picked TPI because its advisors have extensive experience helping states uncover opportunities to operate more efficiently," said Larisa Benson, Deputy for Performance Review, State Auditor's Office. "Its proven set of tools and processes for comparing internal services and costs against public and private sector performance data will help us identify ways to give taxpayers the best possible service at the lowest possible cost." The announcement marks TPI's second major Public Sector contract in the last three weeks. It was recently selected by the City of Houston, the nation's fourth-largest city, to perform an IT infrastructure assessment and make recommendations for achieving key objectives such as server and data center consolidation and disaster recovery capability improvement. Other TPI clients in the Public Sector include the State of Indiana and the State of Georgia and the national governments of Australia, Sweden and Singapore. Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire has asked State Auditor Brian Sonntag to conduct an independent analysis of the potential cost savings and service impacts of a shared services approach. Gov. Gregoire has called for sharing administrative functions, including IT, to allow state agencies to focus on their core missions. State Auditor Sonntag is conducting a statewide performance review to find new ways to streamline government programs, improve service to customers and save taxpayers' money as part of her government reform package. "The State of Washington has committed itself to achieving better, more cost-effective service delivery across all of its agencies," said Don Flores, Partner and Director, State and Local Government Services, TPI. "We are excited to have the opportunity to help it reach that goal through smarter deployment of IT infrastructure." About TPI TPI, a unit of Information Services Group, Inc.
