NZ$500,000 Contract Win

ILX Group plc (AIM: ILX), the AIM quoted provider of e-learning software and consulting services, is pleased to announce a significant new contract with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF). The minimum estimated value of the contract is NZ$500,000 (GBP250,000).

The contract is for the delivery of PRINCE2 Project Management and related e-learning together with in-house & public classroom courses.

To support an "All of Government" approach for contract management, NZDF plans to syndicate the ILX contract to enable other government agencies which are adopting PRINCE2 to enjoy the same terms and conditions negotiated by NZDF without having to go through a new tender process.

There is an option to extend the contract after the initial two year period.

NZDF Project Manager, Kathleen Mackie stated:

"Our new PRINCE2 project management training provider, ILX, will bring a selection of PRINCE2 e-learning packages to the Defence Force starting from next month. PRINCE2 is an internationally recognised methodology and is a very valuable tool for managing projects in a consistent way. With this new approach to procuring project management training we will realise an estimated $300,000 in savings for project management training spend for the 2011/12 financial year.

"The decision to award the project management contract to ILX followed a rigorous selection process, and was in collaboration with the new EPMO (Enterprise Portfolio Management Office) which is part of the new NZDF Office of Strategy Management.

"The Training and Education Directorate (TED) will now begin working with ILX to develop the course schedule for the year and will support course administration and the management of the contract ongoing."

Ken Scott, Chief Executive, ILX Group commented:

"This is the largest contract won to date by our team and is one of the largest contracts to have been awarded in New Zealand. It was secured against fierce competition and we have the potential to win additional business from other Government departments.

"We are continuing to increase our market share, particularly overseas as we further expand our international operations."
