Innovision is pleased to announce that it is the provider of Topaz NFC Type 1
tags to the recently announced Parrot Party Black Edition wireless speakers.
Parrot, a global leader in wireless mobile telephone accessories based in France
(http://www.parrot.com/), believe this is the first commercialised speaker
system to integrate Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. All the consumer
needs to do is touch their NFC mobile phone to the Parrot Party speakers to set
up the Bluetooth connection and instantly play music out of the speakers. The
NFC tag built into the speaker performs the pairing automatically, removing the
need to go through pairing menus, particularly useful if there are a number of
Bluetooth devices in range.
David Wollen, Chief Executive, commented "We see this as another important step
in the adoption of NFC technology within mainstream consumer products and
applications. Based on our product portfolio and roadmaps Innovision is well
placed to provide technology in this area."
