     Intec wins substantial, multi-million pound order in Asia-Pacific


Intec Telecom Systems PLC ("Intec"), the leading global provider of telecoms
Operations Support Systems ("OSS") products, is pleased to announce that it has
signed a substantial contract for OSS software and services with a customer in
the Asia-Pacific region. Intec does not expect that the deal, which is estimated
to be worth several million pounds, will materially affect its 2004 financial
performance. The majority of the revenue should be recognised in Intec's 2005
financial year (1 October 2004 - 30 September 2005.)
