Global Equity Shares

The Company announces that, on 28 November 2008, it repurchased 99,500 Global
Equity Shares of 1p each at 72.07p per share, to be held as Treasury shares.

The total number of Global Equity Shares held in Treasury following this
repurchase is 3,127,000.

Managed Liquidity Shares
