                                KALUMBILA UPDATE

                        Positive Geophysics at Kalumbila

The Board of Kiwara, the Zambian based mining exploration and development
company, is pleased to announce that extensive ground geophysics at Kalumbila -
an existing Nickel Copper Cobalt prospect - reveal a previously unidentified 8km
continuation of the mineralised structure north of a fault previously thought to
limit the trend.

HIGHLIGHTS

  * The geophysics programme discovered strike continuation north of the
    known nickel ferrous zone.

  * East dipping conductor identified to the east of the known nickel zone
    area.

  * A significant part of the additional strike length is already supported
by nickel and / or copper soil anomalies.

The Company now intends to aggressively test the new zone for mineralisation.
The known strike of 11 km at Kalumbila had been established by previous
exploration programmes as containing nickel, copper and cobalt mineralisation.
The zone now extends to 19km and remains open to the North.

The Company is concurrently conducting a drill programme to test the up dip
potential of the previously established mineralised zone. Assay results are
awaited.

Commenting on the new discovery, Chairman of Kiwara, Colin Bird, said: "We are
very excited by the results of this ground and geophysics programme, which has
almost doubled the known strike of Kalumbila. The Kalumbila project has the
potential to host significant tonnages if the mineralisation proves to be
continuous."

The ground EM (Electro-Magnetic) survey was conducted by Spectral Geophysics Ltd
of Botswana.

Further details may be found on the Company's website, (www.kiwara.co.uk), where
a diagram and further details of the EM results will be posted.

The information in this Announcement that relates to exploration results,
together with any related assessments and interpretations, has been approved for
release by Mr Colin Bird - Chartered Mining Engineer and full-time employee of
the Company. Mr Bird has considerable experience which is relevant to the style
of mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration and to the activity
which he is undertaking to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the AIM
Rules"

Notes to Editors:

Kiwara is a mining, exploration and development company, focusing on Nick
el-Cobalt-Copper and Uranium.

KALUMBILA: Kalumbila lies within Zambian Prospecting Licence 267 in which the
Company has an interest through its joint venture with LM Engineering Ltd. The
licence was renewed in September 2007 and is in the process of being transferred
to the joint venture company, Kalumbila Minerals Ltd. The licence currently
covers 280,000 Ha of the Kabompo Dome area of North West Province, Zambia.

Kiwara's subsidiary, Kiwara Resources (Zambia) Limited owns 75% of Kalumbila.
This can be increased by 5% following the expenditure of $2.2 million on the
project. Kiwara owns 75% of Kiwara Recourses (Zambia) Limited.

KAWANGA: The Kawanga uranium mineralization was identified and drilled by AGIP
over a strike length of some 1,000m in the ten year period from the early
1970's. As the historic database has not yet been recovered, the known
mineralization is being re-drilled and subject to a ground radio-metric survey.
The ground work and drill investigation will then continue at both open ends to
determine the lateral extent of mineralization. On the basis that this work
establishes grades and thickness of U3O8 that support further work; the Company
will complete a drilling programme to establish a SAMREC compliant mineral
resource, with a view to conducting pre-feasibility studies in 2009.
