                        LINCAT GROUP PLC ("the Company")


                      CHANGE TO ACCOUNTING REFERENCE DATE


The Accounting Reference Date of the Company, currently 30 June, is to change to
31 December with immediate effect. This change will result in the existing
reference period of the twelve months from 1 July 2006 to 30 June 2007 being
extended to the eighteen months ending 31 December 2007. A second interim report
will be published in September 2007.

Martin Craddock, Chairman, said: "Most of our end-users, dealers and suppliers
operate to a calendar year, for example in respect of pricing, therefore now
that inflationary pressures have returned after many years of cost stability
there is a commercial benefit in aligning our financial year accordingly.

We are pleased with current levels of trading and we remain on course to meet
market expectations for the twelve months to June 2007."
