                      Chairman's AGM Statement
                                      
I  am pleased to report to shareholders that sales for the Group in the first
four  months  of the current year are, on a like for like basis,  comfortably
ahead  of last year. To date, sterling's strength has not impacted our export
sales as much as we had anticipated and trading conditions in the leisure and
hospitality industry remain buoyant.
