                            Resignation of director

London Asia Capital plc ("London Asia" or "the Company") the UK listed (AIM:
LDC.L) Asia focused investment and merchant banking group, announces that Victor
Ng, London Asia executive director, is stepping down from the Company's Board to
enable him to devote all his energies to the development of the business in
Asia, and work on other new projects, including the new Energy and Environment
Fund and Mongolia Funds, for which marketing will begin in the next few weeks.

Victor will continue to be a director of several London Asia subsidiaries and
associated businesses, as well as representing London Asia on a number of its
investee companies.

Jack Wigglesworth, Chairman of London Asia, commented: "This year is a very
important one for London Asia, with the launch of two new funds, significant
changes in the market in which we operate, and a number of potential new avenues
for growth as China opens up and develops its financial services sector. Victor
is leaving the Board to free him up to focus on developing the business in Asia,
which is a better use of his experience and contacts."
