            London Asia Capital plc ("London Asia" or the "Company")

Holding in Company

The Company was informed on 20th July 2004 that, following the acquisition of
236,922 shares in the market, Mr John Mi, Chief Executive of China Financial
Services Ltd, the financial software business in which London Asia has a 48%
stake, is beneficially interested in 5,698,016 ordinary shares in the Company,
which represents 7.02% of the issued share capital of the Company.

China Financial Services Ltd is the holding company for Beijing Success, from
which London Asia Capital recently received a dividend of RMB8 million
(#530,000).

Simon Littlewood, Chief Executive of London Asia Capital, said:
