LONDON & METROPOLITAN SIGNS BRIDGEND RETAIL SCHEME

London & Metropolitan PLC has entered into an option to purchase a site of 180
acres, immediately adjacent to Junction 36 of the M4 at Bridgend, Wales.

The site has planning permission for 225,000 sq ft of retail development plus
restaurants, hotel, petrol filling station and other leisure uses.

Christopher Harris, Chairman of London & Metropolitan said, "This is an
extremely important strategic site in South Wales and we look forward to
working with all the relevant authorities to enable its development."
