September On-time Performance
MAXjet's on-time performance for September 2007 was 65%. On-time performance in
September was impacted by air-traffic control delays in New York, although
delays related to ramp congestion have improved since MAXjet shifted to JFK
Terminal Four in August. MAXjet's year to date flight completions are 95.1%.
Fifth Aircraft
MAXjet plans on 8 October 2007 to introduce its fifth aircraft into revenue
service. An extended-range B767 with auxiliary fuel tanks and crew rest
facilities, this aircraft allows MAXjet to plan for an operating spare aircraft
in its fleet. The Company expects this fleet addition to further increase its
operating performance by reducing delays related to unscheduled maintenance and
late arriving equipment.
