Board changes

Meikles Africa announces the following changes to the Board:

Mr Cecil Bryan Thorn CA (Z), CA (SA) was appointed Director of Finance and
Administration on 1st June 2004.  Mr Thorn (54) has been the Senior Partner of
the Deloitte & Touche Zimbabwe and Malawi practice.  With over thirty years at
Deloittes & Touche (22 of them as a partner) he has been involved in a number of
group restructures and public listings.  He is a Council Member of the Institute
of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe.  His other directorships include
Zimbabwean companies, PG Industries (Zimbabwe) Ltd, Tanganda Tea Company
Limited, TM Centre (Pvt) Ltd, TM Properties (Pvt) Ltd and TM Supermarkets (Pvt)
Ltd

Mr David William Mills was appointed Executive Director of Retail Operations on
21st February 2005. He joined TM Supermarkets in 1980 and has held various
executive positions over the past twenty-five years, the last of which was
Deputy Managing Director of TM Supermarkets.  On 1st May 2004 he left TM
Supermarkets to join the Group's Head Office.  His other directorships in
Zimbabwe include National Meats (Private) Limited and TM Supermarkets (Private)
Limited.

Mr Christopher Parvin resigned as Chief Executive with effect from 31st May
2005.
