FIFTEEN MAPS HEALTHROSTER CONTRACTS AWARDED
Manpower Software plc, (AIM: MNS) the leading provider of workforce optimisation
solutions, announces an increase in NHS Trust customers in its third quarter
ended 28 February 2009. Fifteen NHS Trusts have awarded new contracts for the
purchase of MAPS Healthroster, the electronic rostering solution.
In the current financial year, 1 June 2008 to 31 May 2009, 36 NHS Trusts have
signed contracts for MAPS Healthroster, which has now been selected by 74 NHS
Trusts in total. This total compares with 31 Trusts this time last year. MAPS
Healthroster has also been selected by three private healthcare organisations,
of which two are overseas.
The fifteen UK NHS Trusts which have awarded contracts to the Company in the
third quarter are:
* Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
* East London NHS Foundation Trust
* Kent and Medway Mental Health and Social Care NHS Trust
* Mid Yorkshire Hospital NHS Trust
* North Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
* Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
* North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust
* Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
* Papworth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
* Plymouth Teaching Primary Care Trust
* Queen Mary's Sidcup NHS Trust
* Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust
* Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust
* South West Essex Primary Care Trust
* York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Key to choosing MAPS Healthroster is its ability to provide a better
understanding of demand versus supply of clinical staff, how this is balanced
against efficient use of budgets and how it helps reduce the administrative
burden for HR, clinical and payroll staff.
Commenting, Ian Bowles, Chief Executive Officer said:
"Our commitment to the NHS and the broader healthcare sector continues to create
confidence, both at Executive level and throughout our customers' organisations,
that our approach to clinical electronic rostering delivers very significant
benefits. Our applications generate significant return on investment by reducing
costs, releasing time to care and thereby helping to improve patient outcomes.
"In the healthcare sector we have had an outstanding third quarter, signing
fifteen new contracts, including our first contract to supply and integrate
Biometric Time and Attendance devices and our first agreement to provide a fully
hosted electronic rostering solution working over N3, the NHS compliant network
protocol. I am particularly pleased with evidence of the continuing demand for
our products within the NHS and private healthcare markets, demonstrated by our
recent successes with Sunway Medical Centre (Malaysia) and Boston University
Radiology Associates (USA). We will continue to grow revenues in the global
healthcare sector over the coming years as our domain expertise and experience
is recognised by more healthcare organisations. Our strategic partnerships with
PwC & ACS Healthcare Solutions mean our growing healthcare customer base can
access additional services and complimentary solutions. I am confident that we
will continue to deliver significant benefits and innovation in this very
important market sector as we progress through the rest of this fiscal year and
into next."
