US Based Department Store Chain Selects March Networks R5 Visual Intelligence as its Digital Video Platform

(IP)-based digital video surveillance solutions, announced today
that a US-based department store has selected the March Networks R5
Visual Intelligence platform as its enterprise- wide digital video
solution. The retailer, with approximately 600 stores and outlets,
has started deployment of the March Networks solution that will be
used to improve store security, reduce loss, and enhance
operational efficiency. The March Networks solution was selected
over competing systems due to its high performance in- store video
recording capability combined with the ability to centrally manage
and monitor the video over the corporate network. As part of the
solution, the retailer will also deploy the March Networks
point-of-sale transaction software solution that seamlessly links
specific cash register transaction data with stored video files
allowing for efficient and centralized investigations.
