                             Director Shareholding

Meriden was advised today that Russell Stevens, a director of the Company, had
sold 25,000,000 ordinary shares of the Company at 0.6p per share on 7 September
2005.

Following the above sale, Mr Stevens now holds a total of 84,500,000 ordinary
shares in the Company, representing 24.49 per cent. of the issued share capital
of the Company.
