                            Director's shareholding

Melrose Resources plc (LSE: MRS) ("the Company") today announces that
notification was received on 29 June 2007 that William Wyatt, a director of the
Company, is interested in 81,560 Ordinary Shares in the Company, representing
0.07 % of the issued share capital. Mr Wyatt has an ultimate beneficial interest
in 25,859 of these shares, representing 0.02% of the issued share capital.
