One Media iP Group
plc
("One Media" or
"Company"
or "Group")
Further re TCAT Protect
App
Further to One Media Group iP's
subsidiary TCAT Ltd ("TCAT"), RNS Reach announcement (3 June 2024)
of the launch of the "TCAT Protect" app with a 7-day free trial of
its Gold Standard service, the Company is pleased to announce that
it has now been extended to a 14
day free trial, followed by free access to its Bronze
Plan for a trial period for the following six
months.
TCAT Protect is the
advanced audio fingerprinting software that matches music tracks on
music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon
Music, Deezer and Napster (together the monitored Digital Service
Providers "DSPs"), allowing users to view and review any potential
infringements of music tracks in one place. This enables protection
of users' intellectual property rights and maximises revenue
returns in real-time.
With the news of TCAT's service
slowly spreading through the industry, TCAT Ltd has extended its
free offer of the Gold Standard usage from 7 days to 14
days to give new users an extended period to experience the
anti-piracy software's full service and thereafter free access to
TCAT's Bronze Plan for at least six months.
In light of the news
from Robert Kyncl turns up
heat on PRO metadata matching, and other things we learned from his
NMPA keynote in New York (https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/robert-kyncl-turns-up-heat-over-pro-metadata-matching-and-other-things-we-learned-from-his-nmpa-keynote-in-new-york/),
the Company believes that TCAT Protect can play an important part
in detection for artists and record labels alike.
Music rightsholders, record labels
and artists are challenged with their music being illegally
exploited on legitimate digital stores, which is down to audio
modification and inaccurate metadata. This not only violates
ownership rights - it also results in unauthorised individuals
profiting from their intellectual property, leading to revenue
losses amounting to billions of dollars annually. TCAT Protect is
designed to address this need by offering comprehensive tracking,
reporting and insights into potentially infringing tracks, to
strengthen the management of music rights across legitimate digital
stores such as Spotify and Apple Music.
The service is tailored to
provide:
-
Tracking of Music Recordings
across global digital stores: Real-time monitoring and
the ability to listen to tracks that are potentially infringing
your music, providing a level of vigilance that has not been
available until now.
- Enhanced
Transparency: Detailed and
user-friendly reports that offer clear insights into how, where and
who is trading in a record label's Music Rights.
-
Real-Time Data: Advanced
analytics tools to help stakeholders make informed decisions based
on real-time data.
-
Consolidated view: The real
time data is presented in one place, by monitored DSP, by
territory.
To show the functionality and
reliability of TCAT Protect, TCAT are offering a 14-day free trial
of their Gold Standard service. Go
to www.tcat.media
and sign up for free and then free access to its
Bronze Plan for a further six months.
TCAT's Managing Director, Robin Abeyesinhe,
said "We are delighted to extend the free trial of
our Gold Standard service from 7 days to 14 days and then
offer our Bronze Plan for a further six months free of charge. We
need musicians and record labels to engage with TCAT and we will be
presenting our service to all music related associations and
musician unions which will see a benefit from our great protective
music service. We look forward enthusiastically to
continue to introduce TCAT to the music industry and help protect
artists and content owner's music copyrights."
About TCAT (a subsidiary of One Media Ip Group
PLC)
TCAT is a Software as a Service
(SaaS) platform, developed as a means of automating the difficult
and time-consuming task of monitoring digital music releases, for
instances of unauthorised exploitation. The TCAT software is quick
and powerful, capable of scanning legitimate global digital music
stores for unauthorised and duplicated releases, providing
'up-to-the-moment' reporting. TCAT was developed in-house by One
Media iP Group plc as a technical arm to protect it's own catalogue
of over 400,000 music rights. Its development over 4 years has now
led it to be offered to the wider music industry and has been
established now as a separate limited company subsidiary within the
Group.
