PAVILION GEARED RECOVERY TRUST PLC

ORDINARY SHARES

The Company has today been informed that on 2 October 2001 Dartmoor Investment
Trust plc purchased 1,500,000 Ordinary 100p shares (representing 5.00% of
issued class of capital).

As a result of this transaction, portfolios under management of Exeter Asset
Management Limited now hold in aggregate 4,500,000 Ordinary 100p shares,
representing 15.00% of Ordinary shares in issue.  These shares are held as
follows;


Dartmoor Investment Trust PLC                                     1,500,000
Exeter Selective Assets Investment Trust                          1,000,000
Exeter High Income Unit Trust                                     1,250,000
Exeter Enhanced Income Fund Limited                                 750,000
