Project Telecom acquires Ternhill Communications
THURSDAY, 1 August 2002 - Project Telecom plc, a leading independent provider of
wireless voice and data services to the UK corporate sector, has acquired
Shrewsbury-based Ternhill Communications Limited for #500,000 paid in cash and
shares. Ternhill's net assets at 31 December 2001 were #552,332.
Ternhill is a mobile communications dealership owned by its Managing Director,
Matt Sandford, with customers connected to the O2, Vodafone and Orange networks.
Turnover for the year ended 31 December 2001 was #2.6 million.
Matt Sandford joins Project Telecom as Regional Sales Director responsible for
the West Midlands with immediate effect.
The acquisition was completed on 31July 2002 with #350,000 of the consideration
paid in cash and the balance being satisfied through the issue of 216,450 new
Project Telecom shares to the vendor who has agreed to retain his holding in
Project Telecom for 3 years.
Tim Radford, Project Telecom's Chief Executive, said: "The acquisition of
Ternhill extends our geographic reach and is consistent with our strategy of
expanding the corporate services business, organically and through selective
acquisition."
