    PREMIER HIGH INCOME TRUST PLC

The Company announces that, subject to the winding-up proposals being approved
by shareholders at the Extraordinary General Meeting to be held on 30 June
2005, it intends to pay a Final Interim Dividend of approximately 1.60p per
Ordinary share on 30 June 2005 to the holders of Ordinary shares on the
register at 24 June 2005. This figure represents the Directors' best estimate
of the dividend as at today's date. The final calculation of the Final Interim
Dividend will be made and announced on 23 June 2005.
