                               Penna Board Change



The Board of Penna announces that by mutual agreement, Michael Jolly has
resigned as the Company's Chief Executive.


The Board would like to thank Michael Jolly for his efforts in restructuring the
business over the last two and a half years and has agreed with him that it is
now an appropriate time for a change of Chief Executive.


Suzie Mumme, Penna's Chairman, will assume the Chief Executive's duties on an
interim basis.


Since the trading update at the Annual General Meeting held on 25 September 2003
the Company's trading has neither improved nor deteriorated.  Penna will
announce its interim results for the six months 30 September 2003 on the 4
November 2003.


Suzie Mumme said, " Michael has played a significant role in Penna during a very
difficult phase.  On behalf of the Board I would like to thank him for all his
efforts and contribution and wish him all the best for the future".
