Result of General Meeting
Proventec plc (AIM:PROV, Alternext:ALPTC), a provider of specialist steam
cleaning and coatings technologies, is pleased to announce that all the
resolutions set out in the Notice of the General Meeting for the General Meeting
held earlier today were duly passed by shareholders.
The Company is raising GBP1.5 million (before expenses) via a Placing of
3,000,000 new Ordinary Shares at a price of 50 pence per share with existing and
new institutional investors. Accordingly application has been made to the London
Stock Exchange for the 3,000,000 Placing Shares to be admitted to trading on
AIM. It is expected that admission will occur on 3 August 2009.

Proventec Healthcare provides innovative solutions for infection control and
effective cleaning in the healthcare sector. The Company's specialist steam
cleaning technology has been successfully proven in clinical trials with
University College London Hospitals to rid all areas and combat the spread of
micro-organisms, including 'superbugs' such as MRSA and Clostridium difficile.
The Company has developed specialist, patented tooling, which has been designed
to be used within hospitals on a daily basis and enable the user to clean
difficult to reach areas including mattresses, bed frames and curtains without
the use of antimicrobial chemicals that may contribute to microbial resistance.
