                       Quester VCT 5 plc ("the Company")


The directors are pleased to announce that the Company has made an allotment of
387,935 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company under the 2001/2002 offer for
subscription announced on 4 December 2001.



It is expected that dealings will commence on Wednesday 6 February 2002. A
further 2,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company are expected to commence
trading on Wednesday 6 February 2002.
