                       Quester VCT 5 plc ("the Company")                       

The directors are pleased to announce that the Company has made an allotment of
350,602 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company under the 2002/2003 offer for
subscription announced on 2 October 2002.

It is expected that dealings will commence on Thursday 30 January 2003.
