Recycled Waste plc ("Recycled Waste" or "Company")

On 5 November 2002, trading in the Company's ordinary shares was suspended
pending clarification of the Company's financial position.

Following internal investigations and the appointment of independent accountants
to report to the non-executive directors, the Company believes that a number of
frauds have been committed against it.  The firm of independent accountants
expect to finalise their report in the next few weeks.

The Company's financial controller has been dismissed and pending the outcome of
the investigation into the Company's affairs, David Norton (Chief Executive) has
been suspended, although the Company at present has not deemed it necessary to
take any further action against Mr Norton, and he continues to assist the
Company in its enquiries.

In view, inter alia of this, the Company will not be able to meet the
requirement that it announces its results for the year ended 31 May 2002, by 
30 November 2002.

A further announcement will be made as soon as is practical.
