                      Redknee Awarded New European Patent

  Redknee Innovation Enables Network Operators to Rate and Bill Short Message
                          Service Traffic in Real Time

TORONTO - May 6, 2008 - Redknee (AIM: RKN), a leading provider of innovative
infrastructure software that monetizes and personalizes services and content for
mobile operators, is pleased to announce that the Company has been issued
European Patent No. 1458200 (the "Patent") for its "Improved Method and System
for Short Message Service ("SMS") Rating and Billing". The Patent enables
network operators to classify and rate SMS traffic in real-time, based upon any
number of attributes and variables including time-of-day, origination address,
destination address, and message content (e.g. text vs. ring-tones).

The award of this patent further highlights Redknee's strong commitment to
Research and Development ('R&D') and maintaining its position as a key industry
innovator in the real-time OSS/BSS software space, as demonstrated by over 40
issued patents and pending patent applications. The newly patented technology,
among other capabilities, enables operators to have more flexibility in their
pricing and marketing models and to deliver an enriched subscriber experience
seamlessly across multiple billing paradigms (pre/post-paid, hybrid accounts).

to 15% of network operators' revenues in Europe. According to industry analysts,
real-time rating technologies such as those offered by Redknee, that enable a
variety of billing options and business models, will facilitate the continued
growth of SMS based services.
