ROYAL LONDON UK EQUITY & INCOME TRUST PLC

The Company has today been notified that Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited

have purchased 2,113,000 ordinary shares of 1p each representing 3.02% of the

Company's issued share capital, on behalf of St David's Investment Trust Plc.



The Company were also informed that Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited have

also sold 2,560,000 ordinary shares of 1p each on behalf of discretionary

funds under management.



As a result of these transactions, the aggregate number of shares now managed

by Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited and its associated companies is 12,553,000

ordinary shares of 1p each, representing 17.93% of the issued share capital of

that class.
