The Company has been notified that, on 16 December 2002, The Goldman Sachs
Group, Inc ("GS Inc") was interested in a total of 6,950,000 ordinary shares of 
1 penny each in the Company, representing 9.93% of the issued share capital of 
that class.

The interest in 6,950,000 shares arises from a beneficial interest held by
Goldman Sachs International, a direct subsidiary of GS Inc.
