RMR plc ("RMR" or "the Company") - Board Changes

The company announces that the Board has invited Michael Mills to become a
Director and Executive Chairman with effect from 17th September 2001 the date
of the Company's Annual General Meeting. A resolution to this effect will be
proposed at that meeting. In the meantime, Mr Mills will act as a consultant
to the Board to review RMR's existing operations and to assist in the
development of a profitable corporate strategy. In this regard the Company has
a number of strategic partnerships and acquisitions under active
consideration. Consequently, Dr. Michael Peagram has stepped down as a
Director of the Company and Chairman with immediate effect. The composition of
the rest of the Board remains as before.

Mr Mills has considerable industrial and business experience and is currently
chairman of Advance Value Realisation Company Limited, a quoted investment
trust specialising in providing value and liquidity in small companies for its
shareholders. His previous positions include a number of senior and board
level appointments with BTR plc, Bunzl plc, Apax Partners & Co. and S. Daniels
plc.
