NO OBJECTION FROM FIRB FOR PROPOSED ACQUISITION
Skywest, the Australian and South East Asia regional airline,
wishes to update the market regarding the status of a proposed
scheme of arrangement between Skywest and Virgin Australia Holdings
Limited ("Proposed Acquisition").
Further to the announcements dated 30 October 2012, 6 December
2012 and 31 January 2013, the Foreign Investment Review Board of
Australia ("FIRB") confirmed today that it has no objections to the
proposed acquisition of Skywest by Virgin Australia Holdings
Limited pursuant to a scheme of arrangement under the laws of
Singapore. This confirmation satisfies another condition for the
proposed acquisition of Skywest.
The proposed acquisition still remains subject to certain
conditions including the sanction of the Singapore High Court.
