DISCLOSURE OF INTEREST IN SHARES

The Company received notification on 28 January
2000 that, following a sale of 200,000 shares,
the notifiable interest held within the AEGON UK
plc Group of Companies is now 3,314,300 Ordinary
shares of 10p each, representing 4.99% of the
total shares in issue.

For the purposes of the foregoing notification,
the "AEGON UK plc Group of Companies" means

Management Limited, Scottish Equitable Asset
Management Plc, Scottish Equitable Investment
