Notification of Director's Interest

The Company received notification that Michael Thornton, Director today sold
604,280 ordinary 10p shares from his personal holding to the Thornton Retirement
Annuity Trust Scheme ("RATS") at a price of 114.5p per share. The Trustees of
the Scheme are BGL Reads Trust Company Ltd.

The Thornton RATS is an approved Guernsey Pension Fund with its sole member
being Michael Thornton. As such, Mr. Thornton's beneficial interest remains
unchanged at 804,280 shares in the Company, representing 1.21% of the total
shares in issue.
