REFINANCING AND RESULTS OF GENERAL MEETING

Refinancing

Thorntons is pleased to announce that, further to its announcement of 3 July 2014, the Company has agreed and signed a new committed revolving credit facility with its existing lenders of GBP75m to replace the existing bank facilities of GBP57.5m. This new facility, which will mature in October 2018, remains unsecured and provides certainty in funding to support the further implementation of the Company's transformation strategy.

General Meeting

Thorntons announces that at its General Meeting held earlier today, the Special Resolution to amend the borrowing limit in the Articles of Association was approved by shareholders.
