    THE LOCAL RADIO COMPANY PLC (the "Company")

    Senior Management Changes



    The Board of directors of the Company are pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Bryant as managing director of the Local Stations
Division of The Local Radio Company PLC ("TLR") effective 1st December 2008.  Mr Bryant will report directly to Rhys Davies, the Executive
Director of TLR and the Board. Alistair MacKenzie has relinquished his title of Chief Operating Officer of the Local Stations Division but
continues to serve as Finance Director of the Local Stations Division and the PLC Group Finance Director.

    In addition to a base salary, if the Local Stations Division of TLR achieves a minimum EBITDA of �900,000 for the financial year ending
31 December 2009, excluding any contribution from JazzFM or First Radio Sales Limited,  Mr Bryant will be entitled to receive either a cash
bonus of �200,000 or ordinary shares equal to 2.5% of the then issued share capital of the company, at his election.

    Mr Bryant is also a Director and sole shareholder of Town and Country Broadcasting Ltd a privately owned media business and its wholly
owned subsidiary companies.  He is a member of the public affairs committee of the RadioCentre, the industry trade body. 
      
    Commenting on the appointment, Anthony Gumbiner said "We are delighted to have Jason Bryant on board. His experience in commercial radio
makes him uniquely placed to assist us in turning round the group in a difficult economic environment".
