Further to the announcement on 3 March 2009, Veris plc ("Veris" or the
"Company") today announces the completion of the disposal of its moving and
storage division (the "Division") to Capstar Limited for a consideration of
EUR74,304.16 which was paid in cash on 9 April 2009, in accordance with the
agreement dated 2 March 2009.
On obtaining shareholder approval at the recent Extraordinary General Meeting
("EGM") on 9 April 2009, Veris plc bought back 687,222 shares held by Niall
Doris and persons connected to him at EUR0.28 per share for a total consideration
of EUR192,422.16. The buy-back of 80,000 shares held by Pershing International
Nominees Limited at EUR0.28 per share, though approved at the EGM and by the
Board, will not now proceed. The shares which were bought back have been
cancelled and accordingly the issued share capital of the Company is 25,650,422.
* The Division is comprised of Bond Business Support Limited and all of its
subsidiaries (Nat Ross Limited, Oman Transport Limited, A.G. Doree (Ireland)
Limited and McConnell Removals Limited) and Hire A Crate Limited
