    Requisition of EGM


    Vision Opportunity China Fund Limited ("VOC") (AIM:VOC.L) announces that on 2 October 2008 it received a requisition from Carrousel
Capital Fund Limited ("Carrousel"), to convene an extraordinary general meeting of VOC ("EGM"). Carrousel has submitted the requisition in
respect of 10,000,100 ordinary shares in VOC, representing approximately ten per cent. of the voting rights in the Company.

Carrousel, as a member interested in more than ten per cent. of VOC's ordinary shares, has requested that resolutions be put to shareholders
at the EGM proposing for shareholders to: assent to return shareholders' uninvested cash and cash equivalents in VOC; resolve that VOC cease
to make any  further investments in long term or illiquid investments; and to appoint Andrzej Sobczak to the board of directors of VOC.
    
The directors and Vision Capital Advisers consider the requisition very surprising given the strong performance of VOC in the most difficult
of markets.  Since its admission to AIM on 28 November 2007 and up to 31 August 2008 (the latest date for which NAV figures are available),
VOC has delivered total net shareholder returns on an annualised basis of approximately 11 per cent.  Over the same period, VOC has achieved
absolute NAV growth of 36 per cent. and, in addition, its assets have benefited from a 12.85 per cent. currency appreciation.

    Shareholders will receive further notification from VOC in due course.
