The following table lists unplanned and planned production outages at U.S. refineries as reported by Dow Jones Newswires. The information is compiled from both official and unofficial refining sources and doesn't purport to be a comprehensive list.

Most recently, severe weather caused a unit upset at Delek US Holdings Inc.'s (DK) Tyler, Texas refinery on Monday, the company reported in a filing with environmental regulators.

The sat gas unit flared for 25 minutes before operators corrected problems, the report to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality said.

Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) restarted a crude unit Tuesday at its Corpus Christi, Texas refinery, according to a report filed with environmental regulators.

The 40,000 unit labeled #1 went down Monday for a brief repair and is located at the west plant at the refinery, which can process up to 142,000 barrels a day of crude.

Unplanned flaring from a unit upset at the Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) Torrance, Calif., refinery has had minimal effect on production, the company said Monday afternoon.

The company sent two flaring notices overnight after the incident at a unit, which a refinery spokeswoman declined to identify.

Exxon has restarted a crude unit at its Baytown, Texas, refinery, according to a report with state environmental regulators.

During the startup, the unit's furnace began to flare on Sunday, the report said.

On Saturday, Valero reported to state environmental regulators that a brief power failure caused flaring at its Texas City, Texas refinery. The event did not impact production.

In a Thursday evening filing, Exxon said that a pump failure at its Baytown, Texas refinery resulted in a loss of cooling water supply resulting in the shut down of some units. Exxon said that production was not impacted and all customer needs were being met, according to the state environmental report.

A fire early Thursday at Lion Oil Company's El Dorado, Arkansas, oil refinery has reduced crude oil throughput to about 60% of capacity, company spokesman Wallace Moody said.

Repairs to electrical instrumentation and insulation damaged by the fire are underway; crude throughput is expected to return to normal rates by Saturday, he added.

The El Dorado refinery is able to process up to 70,000 barrels of crude oil a day and will be shutting down in September for 60-days of plant-wide turnaround maintenance, Moody said.

In May, the hydrocracker and reformer at the Golden Eagle refinery in Martinez were shut down for planned maintenance. The refinery can process up to 166,000 barrels a day. Valero said on June 15 that the restart of a crude unit, vacuum unit and coker at its Norco, La., refinery is a least three weeks away. The units were shut due to a minor fire on June 9.

Also on June 15, Valero said it would delay the plant-wide shutdown of its Aruba refinery to mid-July rather than early July.
