Home Entertainment Corporation PLC - Directorate changes


FRIDAY 23 January 2004 -- Home Entertainment Corporation PLC ("HEC" or "the
Company") announces that John Malcolm Sealey will retire as Finance Director
with effect from 30 April 2004. Aged 65, Mr Sealey will remain on the Board of
the company as a Non-Executive Director and Company Secretary.


Chairman, Iain Muspratt, said: "On behalf of all my colleagues, I would like to
thank John for his substantial contribution to Home Entertainment over the past
14 years. During that period, the Company has gone through considerable change
and development, including our successful flotation on AIM in October 2001. We
are delighted that he has agreed to remain as a Non-Executive Director so that
we can continue to draw on his extensive knowledge and experience of the
business."


Mr Sealey's successor is to be Christopher John White (aged 42), who joined the
Company as Director of Finance and Information Services in April 2001. A
chartered management accountant, Mr White was a member of the team involved with
the successful flotation of HEC and has recently overseen the implementation of
new management information systems within the Company, including the EPOS system
installed in all 213 of Choices stores. Prior to joining HEC, he held senior
financial and company secretarial positions across a range of retail and
multi-site service groups.


Mr White's past directorships are Sportsworld (GB) Plc, Maybrice Limited,
Maybrice Management Limited, Bremward Limited and 1st Class Leisure (Properties)
Limited. Sportsworld (GB) Plc was placed into administration in 2000. 1st Class
Leisure (Properties) Limited was placed into receivership in 2001.


There are no further disclosures required under Schedule 2 paragraph (f) of the
AIM Rules.
