Jason Perry, Grant Thornton’s market managing principal in
Atlanta, has been named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Most
Admired list. He is one of just two accounting firm executives
included on the annual list, which honors Atlanta’s leading CEOs,
managing director and market leaders.
Perry has worked at Grant Thornton for 22 years, including four
years as the firm’s leader in Atlanta. In this role, Perry helps
his office’s roughly 350 professionals deliver personalized,
high-quality services to audit, tax and advisory clients across a
broad range of industries.
“Jason’s leadership has been pivotal to our ongoing growth in
Atlanta, and his teammates — myself included — admire his
personable approach to business and client service,” said Mark
Margulies, Grant Thornton’s national managing principal of Tax
Services and managing principal for the Southeast region. “Jason is
a singular leader who invests his time and energy into our people
and the Atlanta community, and leaders like him are precisely
what’s needed to propel any business forward.”
An auditor by training, Perry has ample experience serving
companies in industries such as manufacturing, technology and life
sciences. His knowledge of these areas makes him an in-demand
resource both locally and nationally. In addition, he is a graduate
of Leadership Atlanta — one of the oldest sustained community
leadership programs in the nation. He currently serves as a board
member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and is a member of
The Carter Center Board of Councilors and the Rotary Club of
Atlanta.
“Leading our Atlanta professionals and giving back to this
incredible city have been two of the biggest honors of my life, and
none of it would be possible without the support of the most
talented people in the professional services industry: my
teammates,” Perry said. “Grant Thornton’s future looks brighter
than ever, and we’re going to keep doing everything we can to
provide second-to-none client service while making a difference
where we live and work.”
Perry is a certified public accountant in Georgia. He earned a
bachelor’s degree in management and certificates in accounting,
finance and economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
