LONDON,
ON, July 10, 2024 /CNW/ - Workers,
individuals, family members, and community members who depend on
the services provided at the Canadian Mental Health Association
(CMHA) Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services are
rallying to stop job and service cuts and to call upon the Ford
government to fix the funding shortage and state of services
emergency!
Already facing a $2.6M budget
deficit, CMHA Thames Valley is set to make further cuts linked to
financial pressures that will impact services and individuals'
access to care if they don't receive more funding immediately.
Impacted workers, who provide vital support to many vulnerable
individuals, have faced and are facing further staffing reductions
this summer.
What: Rally to fix the funding shortage in community
mental health and addiction care!
When: Thursday, July 11,
